You Are Enough!
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
If I am honest with myself (and you)-there are times when I am not always as confident in myself as I should be. Every now and then that little bug of insecurity comes a knocking. I get frustrated because my skin doesn’t look as vibrant as I wish it could be. I hear for the 100th time how “skinny” I am. I see a beautiful women in the store and wish I had a little more of “that”. My mind drifts. And the cycle begins. Silly I know to some but I’m just being honest.. Can you relate?
Wanting to really break free from this pattern, I shared with a close friend what was on my heart. During our conversation I was reminded of a simple fact- I can’t allow my “insecurities” or what others think of me to keep me in a negative space! I have to be intentional about focusing on the truth!
And the truth of the matter is I am enough. You are enough.
And more than enough. We are His Handiwork. His Masterpiece.
Masterpiece: A work done with extraordinary skill; a supreme intellectual or artistic achievement
Let that sink in for a sec. As a daughter of the King, you’re not just another person walking down the street. You were created by the God of the universe with precision and skill. You are a living piece of art- reflecting the image of our living God! I don’t know about you but when I read that it brings my heart so much joy!
There’s a popular quote that says “Comparison is the thief of joy.” I couldn’t agree more! When we compare ourselves to others and allow the enemy to rear his ugly head in our thought life we miss out on experiencing the joy of embracing the uniqueness of who we are.
My prayer is that we no longer allow our minds to drift to places it doesn’t belong. That we not be so prideful to think that the God who makes NO mistakes, made a mistake when He was creating us. *Can I get a Amen..lol * 😊
So what’s the point? No more comparisons! Remind yourself today of the truth. You are ENOUGH! You are His MASTERPIECE! And God created you EXACTLY the way He wanted you to be. If this isn’t your struggle- ENCOURAGE another sister this week. You never know how it might brighten her day!

Great read Keisha I loved the post ! I myself too find myself comparing to others especially when the enemy starts to push my mind towards negative thinking. Be not conformed to this world but be he transformed by the renewing of your mind. That verse helps me to when I try to compare myself or think I am not enough. Love you girl for this
