Don’t Watch The Clouds!

He who watches the wind will not sow and he who looks at the clouds will not reap…
SOW your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good! (Ecclesiastes 11:4, 6)
Happy New Year and thank you for supporting me!
Last week I came down with a NASTY cold! I was bummed because it put a dent in some plans I had, but grateful because it was during that time that the idea for this blog came about. Those who know me well,  know that there are some things I’ve had on my heart regarding ministry for a while but I’ve never known quite where to start.  As I was thinking about what to do, I was reminded of the above scripture.
How can I expect a harvest if I’m not sowing any seeds?
Ouch! I tell people this all the time but this time it hit me in a different way. It’s going to be hard for the things in my heart to blossom if I’m stuck watching the clouds waiting for the “perfect” opportunity.
My prayer for you is that whatever seeds you need to start sowing that you start today! The New Year is always a good time to refocus on your goals and just go for it!  Remember God has promised to direct every one of our steps and provide what we need moment by moment. Most of us already know this but no one ever gets anywhere by doing nothing!

So What’s The Point: – No more watching the clouds my loves. Sow yours seeds! If you feel God pushing  you in a certain direction- follow Him! If He CALLED you, He will EQUIP you!   You never know where that first step (or two) will take you!
Be obedient. Leave the results to Him.
